Please help us make our 13th Annual Rivalry Ride the most successful ride yet! Join us on September 15, 2024 for the Annual Rivalry Bike Ride between Spartan Stadium in East Lansing and the Big House in Ann Arbor. We will transport riders and their bicycles from Ann Arbor to East Lansing to ride a metric century back to Michigan Stadium. Lunch will be provided at the halfway point in Stockbridge, Michigan. 

Riders can also participate in our HALF STADIUM RIDE. Riders can ride the HALF STADIUM RIDE from either East Lansing to Stockbridge (Leg 1) or from Stockbridge to Ann Arbor (Leg 2). We will provide transportation from Ann Arbor to East Lansing for riders riding Leg 1, but riders will need to arrange for their own transportation from Stockbridge back to Ann Arbor.  Riders who choose to ride Leg 2 will need to provide their own transportation to Stockbridge to begin the ride.  

We would love for you to ride with us from East Lansing to Ann Arbor or Stockbridge to Ann Arbor. However, if you are unable to join us we encourage you to consider creating your own ride or making a donation! You can ride any day, any time, any place, even at home on a stationary bike, and still help us raise funds for ALS Research.

  • Date: Sunday, September 15, 2024 - 7:30am from Sparty Statue
  • Bus will leave Ann Arbor at 6:30am from Pioneer High School
Fees:
  • $80: includes rider and bike transportation to East Lansing, lunch, sag wagon support and a t-shirt
  • $40: includes sag wagon support and a t-shirt
  • $35: includes a t-shirt (create your own ride)

Rivalry Ride Story

Thirteen years ago, for his Bar Mitzvah project, Sam Sugerman, along with his family and friends, rode bikes from Spartan Stadium to the Big House on the day of the Michigan-Michigan State Football game. The event was such a success we decided to create an annual ride! We hope you can join us this year. 

Awareness of ALS has grown through events like the Ice Bucket Challenge and the Rivalry Ride. As the rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State heats up, we hope to involve more Spartans and Wolverines in the effort to represent their schools and ride TOGETHER for ALS research.

Please donate through Givebutter to help raise funds for ALS! Ask your friends and family to donate to support your ride and/or JOIN US for all or part of the ride from Spartan Stadium to the Big House!!
