Please join us for Get Up and Go for ALS, our first virtual fundraiser!
Unfortunately, because of COVID-19 we have had to cancel many of our events this year. We truly missed running while eating Twinkies and counting laps for our youth swimmers. As COVID-19 has challenged all of us to find new ways to work, learn and live, we have accepted the challenge and created Get Up and Go for ALS. Join us and invite your family and friends too!
During the month of August 2020 walk, run, swim, dribble a basketball, kick a soccer ball, dance, bike, rock climb, or any other activity, while helping us raise funds for ALS research. All donations support Active Against ALS and finding a cure for ALS!

Active Against ALS is a grassroots, non profit organization whose mission is to raise funds for research toward effective treatments and ultimately a cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), while raising awareness of the disease, encouraging physical activity and building a compassionate community. Active Against ALS was founded in 2008 in response to news that our friend and neighbor, Bob Schoeni, had been diagnosed with ALS. As ALS steals one’s ability to move, Active Against ALS strives to promote physical activity. In the past twelve years we have raised funds while running, biking, swimming, racing box cars, dancing, and even swimming the English Channel!
